Legacy
The poet's words hide
in truth
before the storm of words
are lost
to the hangman's noose
Inside the flames
victims cry
..
upon the skeleton of a horse
they ride,
to try again
to win the race,
a chance to leave
the market place alive.
Mothers light fires
to bum away the night
and children
hide their dreams
in candle light.
